Laolu Akande, an ex-aide to former vice president Yemi Osinbajo has faulted the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike for failing to manage his successor, Fubara Siminialayi. Faulting the FCT minister while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Thursday evening, Akande said that he was disappointed that the FCT Minister could not properly manage Fubara who was his anointed candidate at the 2023 Rivers governorship election. The Feb. 26-March 1 Morning Consult poll found that Queen Elizabeth II was the most popular member of the family, with a favorability rating of 53 percent. Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, was the second most popular royal, while Harry rounded out the top three, with favorability ratings of 49 percent and 46 percent, respectively.  The survey -- which was conducted before reports that Meghan was allegedly the subject of a senior staff member’s 2018 bullying complaint and that she allegedly wore earrings gifted to her by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman three weeks after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi -- found that her favorability rating (45 percent) was 4 percentage points lower than Middleton’s, though Harry edged out his brother, Prince William (42 percent), the second in line to the throne. According to latest news reported by journalists of BBC, Boko Haram are suspected to be responsible for killing 17 people in new attack in Alagarno village, in Borno State. According to reports, the insurgents of Boko Haram spent hours at night allegedly killing innocent people in Alagarno village and than went away on stolen vehicles. They have arrived around 11 p.m. and left around 3 a.m. The attack happened just a day after 118 died in bomb attacks in Jos city, the attack also made supposedly by Boko Haram and the same day as the other attack with 30 people dead in Shawa Damboa LGA, in Borno state. Geneva-based International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has held that the re-arrest and repatriation of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu didn’t violate any of his rights. The human rights organization said this in its reaction to the recent rearrest and repatriation to Nigeria of the IPOB leader by the federal government in collaboration with some international security operatives. Though the Nigerian government has so far refused to reveal details of the country where Kanu was picked up before his repatriation to Nigeria, many sources including the IPOB leader’s lawyer Aloy Ejimakor believe he was re-arrested in Kenya.
